Released September 28th 2022, Clare's self-titled album is a celebration of resilience, love and hope.
It explores tradition, the sea, and the power of women through
the dark and light, love and loss, and the rise and fall.
Written & recorded over two years along the West coast of Ireland from Mizen to Malin, Clare found a path where the Irish and English languages, Irish traditional, folk, and contemporary music meet. Pulsating rhythms, traditional melodies and bilingual song are interwoven with spoken word guests Manchán Magan, Bernadette Devlin McAliskey, Fiachna Ó Braonáin & Tommy Sands, and musical guests Aisling Urwin,
After electric live performances at Celtic Connections, the Irish Arts Center (NYC) and Glastonbury Festival, Clare is set to launch her new album with her biggest ever headline show in her hometown in St.Lukes, Cork (Oct 1) as well as headline shows around Ireland, the UK, and Germany.
'Sands reach is wide & deep. This album speaks most of all of resilience & solidarity, of friendship & kindship. This fine debut revels in Sands innate & fearless curiosity, and her insistence on diving deep below the surface. A mighty first step to what promises to be a lifelong expedition'

From Cork, Ireland, Lewis Barfoot writes mystic, majestic songs derived from regional folk, with an ambient music aura. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 11, 2023
The latest LP from Brigid Mae Power is gorgeous and ghostly, setting Power’s voice against soft brushes of guitar, piano, & shuffling drums. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 17, 2018
Absolutely love that deep concertina sound. And the range of expression that Cormac brings out through this instrument, well beyond the intentions of the designers or makers of these instruments. And, feel sorry for his poor bellows and reeds. He has to do a lot of personal repair on them. Cormac's album design and presentation are beautiful works of art as well. See him in concert if you can. You can really feel those bass notes resonate through a hall. balinsky
